Sizing, placement and control of decorative LED lighting: curtain lights, Christmas tree strings, light screens, firework lights, sunset lamps and star projectors, LED strip behind televisions and under stairs, and the ambient lighting fitted in cars.
What the guides cover
- Decorative and festive: how many metres of light a tree or window needs, which of six curtain-light variants is in the box, what a light screen can display, and how to fix a firework light so it survives the season.
- Ambient and projection: the distance and angle for a sunset lamp, ceiling coverage for a star projector, the surface a water-ripple light needs, and how a stair running-water effect is wired.
- Strip and vehicle: strip length against power supply, the dim far end, dual-white wiring, TV backlight sizing, stair and cabinet lighting, aquarium safety, and routing ambient lighting inside a car.
- Pairing and control: first-time pairing, colour-order correction, the three music-sync modes, offline voice control and stick-on switches.
The team
The controller inside most of the lights described here, the app that drives it and the server behind the app are designed by our own engineering team. The team works from research and development centres in Beijing and Shenzhen, and lights built on its controllers are sold in more than 140 countries and regions.
Photographs, recordings and diagrams
Product and installation photographs are taken in the workshop and test rooms; the short loops on the home page are recordings of the lights running their own effects; wiring and layout diagrams are drawn in-house.
The site
Every page is published in English, Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese, and the three versions are linked from the language switch in the header. Each article header shows the date it was last reviewed. The site has no accounts, comments, newsletter or shop; the only scripts it loads are its own stylesheet and menu script and the advertising loader described in the privacy policy. Section indexes list every guide in the section, and the guides index lists all of them on one page.
