What this site is
These pages are published guidance about installing and using decorative LED lighting. They are provided free of charge, for information. Using the site means you accept the terms on this page.
What this guide is not
- It is not a substitute for the instructions that came with your product. Where this guide and your product's own documentation disagree, follow the product documentation.
- It is not electrical advice for mains wiring. Everything here concerns low-voltage lighting, typically 12 V or 24 V, on the output side of a supplied power adapter. We do not publish guidance on mains-voltage work.
- It is not a warranty document. Warranty terms come from whoever sold you the product.
Safety. Mains electrical work should be carried out by a qualified electrician, and requirements differ by country. Installations at height, outdoor installations and anything involving a vehicle carry their own risks. Where lighting is fitted to a vehicle, it must not obstruct the driver's view, imitate emergency services, or otherwise contravene local road traffic law — check the rules that apply where you drive before fitting anything.
Accuracy
We write this guide carefully and correct it when we find mistakes, but we cannot guarantee that every page is complete, current or applicable to your particular product. Product specifications change, and lighting sold by other brands may behave differently from ours even when it looks similar.
Intellectual property
The text, photographs, diagrams and page designs on this site belong to Long-Term New Media Limited unless stated otherwise.
You are welcome to quote short extracts with a link back to the page you took them from. Republishing whole pages, or reproducing our photographs, requires our written permission first.
Product names, app names and logos belonging to other companies are the property of those companies and appear here only to identify what is being discussed.
Our apps
Our control applications are free. There is no paid tier, no subscription and no unlock fee. Any application that demands payment to control your lights is not published by us, whatever it is called. Download only from the official store listings or from our own download pages.
Use of the apps themselves is governed by the terms and privacy policies published on their store listings, not by this page.
Third-party links and advertising
Some pages link to app stores, manufacturers or reference material we do not control. Those sites have their own terms, and a link is not an endorsement.
This site carries third-party advertising. Advertisements are selected by the ad networks that serve them, not by us, and their presence is not a recommendation. How advertising affects your data is covered in our Privacy Policy.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for loss or damage arising from following guidance on this site, from errors or omissions in it, or from the site being unavailable. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page shows the current version, and continuing to use the site after a change means accepting the updated terms.
